Myanmar - Irrawaddy-Delta‏: Major Breakthrough!!!

Dada Vishvarupananda writes:

Just come back from a meeting with UNICEF. The Minister of Education himself gave his approval that we can implement for UNICEF. This is the first time in history, the MoE allows a foreign organization to work on Myanmar territory! It is generally known to be the toughest of all!

Since we now can have a long term presence in Myanmar (UNICEF would like to give us more TLS temporary learning spaces), we are going to rent tomorrow a large office space (brand new, 5 rooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen in Japanese Zen design!) for 200 USD/month just two minutes by foot from all UN offices. There we can invite representatives of  other NGOs  and save a lot of money at the same time (it is half of what we pay for our Guest House room)!

AMURT can now be mentioned in press releases and fund-raising events as officially working in Myanmar!
